How Can I Gain More Confidence in Myself? | Agony Aunts Pilot

"How Can I Gain Confidence in Myself?" asks one listener from Germany. This is the question that we answered in this pilot episode of the Agony Aunts.

Agony Aunts is a new show that we're going to try. It is so new, in fact, that we are not even sure how to call it yet (any ideas are welcome, by the way).

We will answer various interesting, useful, informative, confusing and simply fun questions that they have received from our followers all over the world.

In order to make all of this a bit more light-hearted, we might make a joke here and there, but, of course, all the advice and ideas are truly meant to be helpful and authentic. Some of the topics might get a bit sensitive, but life is in general, so we will risk taking the liberty to discuss them with you.

If you have a pressing question or just something you would like to hear our opinion on, a completely anonymous question box will be available on EnglishTVLive’s Facebook and Instagram very soon- so keep your eyes peeled! 🙂

Hello, Diana and Emma. I enjoyed listening to this excellent podcast. Thank you very much.
In my opinion, it would be great to hear such kind of conversations. When I listened to the last one, I was convinced again, that people from all around the world have pretty similar difficulties, problems. And, surprisingly, the solutions we find are pretty the same too.
I want to believe that the only barrier between us is language. I reckon this section may be a helpful and enjoyable way to remove that barrier. So, if you keep going, I’ll be your regular listener.

    Hello Diana and Emma

I’d say, this is such a great podcast (I didn’t mean other podcasts are no good) but this is difference. I feel I am listening to my friends talk about “reality” and as you said, some topics are sensitive to talk but it normally happen in our life so I think it would be great if you can give us advice or opinion like this.

In the future, I would like to hear some tips about cooking/baking, (I know a theory but when I have to do by myself for showing someone, I’d say the theory does not help 😂😋) Can you guys relate that?

As for me, speaking skill come first to my mind in terms of communication and “listening part” have to parallel as well. Podcasts help me a lot to familiarize with native speakers and also help my confidence when I have to speak English in my real world……Thanks so much from my mind and please keep up the great work for your students🙏🌻💕
